COSMETIC MAN

Chap Stick/Lip Balm

Chapped lips are not attractive. Period. No one likes looking at them let alone kissing them. Every pair of kissable lips in the world has a lip-balm stashed away in their belongings. A lip balm should contain a herbal mixture of medicinal properties mixed in an oil-base, which prevents lips from appearing dehydrated. Choose a colour-less lip balm and hold on to it. This will keep your lips healthy and moisturised all year round.

Sunscreen

The importance of sunscreen cannot be stressed upon enough. While our professional endeavours can never allow permanent seclusion, one can resort to applying good sunscreen to keep the harmful effects of sun-exposure at bay. Choose sunscreens which provide protection from UVA and UVB rays and which at least have SPF40. Apply it generously over the exposed parts and remember to re-apply regularly.

Shampoo

Let’s face it – grimy hair is hardly attractive! Using a mild shampoo to cleanse the scalp of dirt and oil, letting the roots breathe and flourish in growth. Pick a mild herbal shampoo and clean your scalp not less than 3-4 times a week.

Conditioner

While men can regale in the belief that using conditioner is effeminate, they should know that lustrous hair does not come easy. Conditioners undo the harmful chemical reactions of shampooing and gently hydrate the follicles.

Hair & Beard Oil

To men who run away from hair oil, thinking that applying oil transforms you into a helpless nerd – wake up! Hair oil to scalp is what moisturizer is to skin. Like skin, your hair needs topical nutrition. We tend to load up our hair with a host of products, completely oblivious to its moisturisation needs. Invest in pure essential oils and apply them every other day for a great head of hair.

Foundation

Yes, dear MAN! They are not for women alone. Often men aspire to have the flawless skin like their girlfriends and wonder how they can have the same. Foundation (or Base) are great make-up ruses for men who want to hide their dark circles, patchy skin, acne and other imperfections. Choose one that is the closest shade to your skin tone that provides great coverage.
